Thank you for the reminder that real change comes from being honest with ourselves and accepting where we are at this moment in time. It is so easy to look at a situation and just say "I want to fix this....NOW!". But your comments on going deeper and understanding that there is an actual relationship going on, a way of relating to money that bears some investigation and understanding is key.

I found the 3 components, the emotional, practical and metaphysical aspects really helped me clarify where I stand and serve as a guide and a road map for getting to where I want to be. On the surface this seems directed to just finances but it goes so much deeper and wider than that.

Thanks for a great article!

Yesterday, I went from being self-employed (and struggling) back into an architects office. I have had an ego-problem with working in an office, where the payment is lousy. But I need to improve my skills and my network. So, knowing it would mean low payment I did go there and am glad, they accepted me. Now I will move to a much smaller flat and try to make do with the payment I recieve.

So with this step I am working an conquering underearning in all three aspects. Emotionally I had to overcome my anger towards an "ordinary life". Because of a complicated childhood I thought the world owed me something. Now I start to give it to myself finally instead of waiting for someone to rescue me.

Methaphysically, I trust the universe will show me how to still have enough money while I am working my way up the ladder and later on in a self-employed life, for which I am now laying a solid foundation.

Practically I always use a plan to to work out how I want to spent my money and put at least 10% aside for savings.

Though it seems like a contradiction in terms, going for a low-paing job to learn the lay of the land feels to me like I am finally headed in the right direction.

Thanks Mikaelann for constantly cheering us on.
